The TWC TV app lets customers access 300 live television channels as well as 5,000 on-demand options while at home. When they're out and about, customers will be able to watch around 1,000 on-demand titles and more than a dozen live television channels on their Kindle Fire device, the company said.

Besides that, the cable giant also updated its TWC TV apps for Samsung Smart TVs, Roku streaming players, and Xbox 360 systems with the full on-demand and live television library for customers without an additional set-top box. The TWC TV app is also available on the iPhone, iPad, Android tablets and phones, and Windows and Mac-powered computers.

The latest update follows rumors this summer that Time Warner was close to inking a deal with Apple to bring its cable lineup to Apple TV. The company has not made any announcements on this front, however.
