In the early stages of your business you only have a few contacts to manage, and you can get by with a simple manually-controlled system. However, as business grows, you may have to keep track of hundreds or thousands of contacts, and this is where a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) app becomes a necessity.

There are several CRM services available, and it could take time to find the perfect one for your team, so to save you time we have listed five great ones that should fit your business regardless of the size of your team.

These apps all work in Chrome, so you do not need to install any other special software to use any of them.

1. OnePage CRM

OnePageCRM is a simple CRM app that employs the “Getting Things Done” approach to CRM. Instead of jumping back and forth between multiple pages, this app puts everything in a neatly organised list on one page.

You’ll see all your contacts on the front page in the order they need to be contacted, and from there you can work on each contact, send an email or add notes for each contact. Once done, you can jump straight to the next contact from within the same page. OnePageCRM offers several useful integrations with Gmail, Dropbox, MailChimp, etc., and mobile apps for Android and iOS are also available.

Price: Free trial available / Starts at $15 per month for one user

2. AgileCRM

Agile CRM aims to automate your workflow by pulling leads into the CRM from various platforms such as Gmail, LinkedIn, and Facebook. You also get real-time email and link tracking so you know when your email is opened and which links are clicked.

In addition, the Chrome extension gives you access to your upcoming tasks via the “Upcoming Tasks” tab, and you can easily add new tasks, leads or deals from within that page. You also get several free email templates you can use or customise to your liking when reaching out to your contacts.

3. ProsperWorks CRM

ProsperWorks CRM offers a deep integration with Gmail that enables you to keep up with your contacts and conversations and turn them into leads. The extension watches your inbox for CRM data and automatically adds these contacts as leads.

From there you can easily discard the ones that are not worth pursuing and organise the rest based on their current sales position. ProsperWorks CRM also offers task reminders to help you keep up with all your deals. A lot of the app’s functionality is available right from Gmail with the ProsperWorks sidebar, so you don’t need to change your workflow to use this app.

Zoho CRM integrates well with the other apps in the Zoho suite of apps as well as several third-party applications such as Outlook and Google apps for Work. It also has dedicated mobile apps for Android and iOS.

5. Pipedrive – Sales CRM

Pipedrive is another excellent CRM app that shows you an overview of your sales pipeline, including deals, so you can see at a glance how things are progressing. You can customise the pipeline using filters so that you can focus on only relevant deals, and you can even turn off irrelevant details that you don’t want to see.

Getting started with Pipedrive is easy, as it allows you to import data from several other CRM tools which you might be using. It’s also reasonably priced at $12 per user per month.
