I'm pretty sure the problem is the fact that the xbox app is included with windows 10 OS, so they'd have to develop a new app entirely. And it really doesn't make sense assuming the mac/xbox crossover is very low.
Xbox One Controller App For Mac
There isn't a whole lot about this app that I don't like. Everything about it make sense and is a wonder why we haven't had something like this sooner. I do wish you could edit your clips on a small scale. Like renaming them and things like that. Sometimes the Messaging end of it can be a little finicky, and locks up, but all in all the app works very well for me. I think a lot of how well the app works depends on how well your device communicates with your xbox via your wireless network. I love using this to track achievments. Watch my friends game clips, and message people that way I'm not forced to spend ten minutes using the controller to write a 2 sentence message. I really like that you can adjust the notifcations based on what you want it to notify you about. I hate having to watch twitch notifications every 2 minutes and you can disable that. The fact you can navigate every aspect of live through a keyboard and mouse just makes browsing the store so much better.
